Complex Contraception Care
There are a number of reasons why patients require complex contraception services. Conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders can make pregnancy more risky for moms and babies. Certain medications, surgeries, anatomical factors, and societal and behavioral issues contribute to contraception challenges. In some cases, patients have experienced repeated birth control failures.
At Regional One Health’s Complex Contraceptive Clinic, we understand every patient has unique needs and goals. Our Complex Family Planning and OB/GYN specialists create a welcoming, safe environment so you can access the care that best aligns with your desired outcome.

Our goal is your goal. We work closely with our patients to find the contraception option that best suits their needs, and we can help plan pregnancies for a time that is right for your overall health. We work closely with your other specialists to provide whole-person care that helps you achieve your health and family planning goals.
Our Patients
We offer a wide range of contraception options so patients can access the method that best meets their medical needs, family planning goals, and personal preferences. Our patients receive expert counseling and education that empowers them to engage in shared decision-making about family planning.
- Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC): Hormonal and non-hormonal IUDs, implants
- Permanent Contraception: Tubal ligation, salpingectomy, hysteroscopic sterilization, partner vasectomy coordination
- Short-Acting Hormonal Methods: Oral contraceptive pills, vaginal ring, transdermal patch, injectable
- Non-Hormonal/Barrier Methods: Male and female condoms, diaphragm, cervical cap, contraceptive sponge, spermicides, vaginal gel
- Specialized Complex Care options based on patient’s individual medical needs
We can help patients switch from one complex contraception method to another and offer modified contraception regimens for patients with medication interactions. We also see patients for menstrual suppression related to gynecologic or hematologic conditions.
