As patients recover, our multidisciplinary team offers high-observation medical care in dedicated intensive care and step-down inpatient rooms. Because burn patients have difficulty regulating their body temperature, our rooms can be heated with each patient’s comfort and safety in mind.
Surgery is a crucial component of recovery. Our team performs procedures to remove damaged tissue and prevent infection, reconstruct lost tissue using a patient’s own skin or a synthetic skin substitute, and to improve the appearance and function of scarred tissue. As plastic surgeons, our physicians have the skill to operate with health, function and aesthetics in mind. This leads to better results for all burns, especially in complex parts of the body like the hands, arms and face.
Our patients also benefit from physical and occupational therapy also specifically known as burn rehab, nutrition, pharmacy and wound care services. Because these services are available onsite and provided by burn care specialists, we can offer early and evolving intervention that is proven to help patients heal more quickly.
