On August 20th, 2019, Thea Adell called to order the third quarter One Club Membership Meeting. Thea
welcomed members and thanked Nikki and Dow McVean for graciously opening their home and hosting
One Club. Thea then asked for a motion to approve the minutes from our last meeting. Alison Barton
moved said motion to the floor for members’ vote, and membership approved the minutes.

Shade Robinson, Treasurer of One Club, updated the members on the financial standing of One Club.
She thanked One Club members for making her job easy and being so prompt in paying dues. Shade
announced that One Club will be able to make a generous donation to Regional One at the end of the
year. One Club members will be able to vote on different gift options at the November meeting.

Mary Catherine Burke, ROH Foundation Liaison, gave a ONE Health Update to the membership. ONE
Health is a new concept in healthcare that uses compassion and exceptional service to keep our most
vulnerable residents of the Memphis area healthier. Mary Catherine shared data that proves that this
model of care improves patient outcomes while lowering hospital use and reducing the cost of care. She
announced that we will have opportunities to partner with the Midsouth Food Bank to provide food
care for these patients. Mary Catherine passed around a sign up to volunteer at the Food Bank and
deliver baskets to the hospital for patients.

Amanda Damron, One Club Volunteer and Events Chair, updated members on the County Fair her team
hosted for the Trauma team this summer. She then announced upcoming events and volunteer
opportunities. On October 16th volunteers will meet at ROH to make Halloween costumes for the NICU
and October 30th Fall County Fair event for ICU and hospital floors 4 & 5. Please let Amanda know if you
are interested in helping with either event.

Alison Barton, One Club member, reminded members that she is collecting children’s books for ROH
waiting rooms. Please let Alison know if you have books to donate and she will gladly pick up and
deliver to the waiting rooms.

Mary Catherine introduced a new face to the ROH Foundation, Rachel Alkins. Rachel is new to Memphis
and excited to work with One Club. Mary Catherine reminded us that the Complex Care Conference will
be held at the Peabody hotel November 13-15th. More details and information about volunteer
opportunities will be available soon.

Thea thanked members for a great turnout and announced that the next membership meeting date is
Tuesday, November 19th.
