Regional Medical Center Staff Honored at THA Annual Meeting
The Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) held their 75th annual meeting in November, celebrating 75 years of advocating for hospitals, health systems and other healthcare organizations. During the meeting, Reginald Coopwood, M.D., president and CEO, was installed as chairman of the Tennessee Hospital Association’s board of directors. 2nd Annual Walking Challenge Gets Employees Moving
From employee health screenings and health fairs to exercise classes and the Walking Challenge, Regional Medical Center employees are focusing on health and wellness. The second annual Walking Challenge included 805 participants on 69 teams. The walkers wore pedometers and logged steps from Monday, November 11 to Friday, December 13. Johnson Auxiliary Gift Shop Celebrates 30th Anniversary
In 1983, as the Johnson Auxiliary was celebrating its tenth anniversary in serving Regional Medical Center, hospital administrators approached the Auxiliary about expanding the services provided to the hospital and its patients to include operating and managing a Gift Shop. Profits from the Gift Shop would be donated to the hospital on an annual basis to support the purchase of needed medical equipment, educational initiatives, and other projects important to the hospital.
