The Regional One Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is designed to provide comprehensive medical rehabilitation for patients with a variety of diagnoses. Because our team specializes in medical rehabilitation, they have the additional training and experience to provide effective care that is customized to each patient’s specific diagnosis, needs and goals.

Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is the Mid-South’s leader in delivering medical care and rehabilitation therapy for patients with a variety of complex conditions that require intensive medical rehabilitation. Regional One Health is the Level-1 Trauma Center for Memphis and the surrounding 150-mile radius, giving our team a unique level of experience, skill and resources to help patients overcome the most challenging diagnoses. Our Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, which demonstrates our commitment to excellence in care, safety and patient outcomes.

Spinal Cord Injury Specialty Program

A spinal cord injury is a life-changing event, and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital returns more patients to a home or community setting than regional or national averages. We treat patients with complete or incomplete injury to the spinal cord, tetraplegia and paraplegia. As a Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation partner and member of the American Spinal Injury Association, we provide the highest quality rehabilitation care, access to education and peer mentorship, and resources to help patients adjust to their new normal. Our Spinal Cord Injury Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, which demonstrates our commitment to excellence in care, safety and patient outcomes.

Brain Injury Specialty Program

Participating in inpatient rehabilitation after a brain injury increases the likelihood of a patient being discharged home. Our comprehensive Brain Injury Program is led by therapists and rehab nurses credentialed by the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists, allowing us to provide specialized care for every patient. We also offer access to a full range of education and support services to help patients and their families adjust to life after a brain injury. We treat injuries ranging from mild to severe. Our Traumatic Brain Injury Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, which demonstrates our commitment to excellence in care, safety and patient outcomes.

Major Multiple Trauma

Following major multiple trauma, intensive rehabilitation is required to address complex health issues and help patients recover as much independence as possible. Because Regional One Health is the Mid-South’s Level-1 Trauma Center, our team has unmatched skill and experience in treating major multiple trauma patients. Every patient receives a customized treatment plan designed around their specific needs and goals, and our multidisciplinary approach allows us to provide comprehensive care for a variety of injuries.

Stroke Rehabilitation Program

Stroke can change your life immediately, but there is hope for recovery with the combined efforts of you, your family and your rehabilitation team. We use a patient-centered approach with services designed around you, starting with an individualized treatment plan created with input from you and your caregivers to help you achieve your goals and maximize your recovery.

Orthopedic Care

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to orthopedic rehabilitation to help patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries, diseases or surgeries. We help patients maximize recovery and assist with reentry into the community via medical care and therapy designed to rebuild strength, function and mobility.

Burn Rehabilitation

Specialized rehabilitation is essential to recovery from burn injuries, and our Firefighters Burn Center is the only American Burn Association certified burn center in the Mid-South. Because a burn can impact nearly every organ in the body and create significant scar tissue, rehabilitation must be designed around the unique challenges burn patients face. Our certified burn therapists have a proven track record of helping patients heal, avoid major surgery, and return to work, hobbies and independent living at a rate higher than peer facilities.
