Employees Participate in Neighborhood Clean Up

Regional One Health's employee volunteer group, the Difference Makers, often donate their free time to charitable events in our community. Recently, a group of Regional One Health employees took part in the Trash Flash Mob organized by the Memphis Medical Center to clean up the medical center area. Coopwood Represents American Hospital Association in Washington

On May 21,2014, Reginald Coopwood, M.D., President and CEO of Regional One Health, testified before the Health Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee of the U. S. House of Representatives on “Keeping the Promise: Site-of-Service Medicare Payment Reforms.”  Dr. Coopwood testified on behalf of the American Hospital Association (AHA) encouraging Congress to reject site-neutral payment policies for hospital outpatient departments. Governor Haslam Appoints Gardner-Slater to TBI Council

Wanda Gardner-Slater, Director of Spiritual Care at Regional One Health, was appointed by Governor Bill Haslam to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Advisory Council. The Traumatic Brain Injury Program was established in May 1993 by the Tennessee General Assembly in order that the special needs of survivors of brain injuries and their families could be addressed.  The legislation authorized the Department of Health to establish the program and to designate a TBI Coordinator to oversee its implementation.
