Employees Giving Back: March for Babies
With approximately 1,500 babies being treated in the Newborn Center annually, many of which are born premature and underweight, the March of Dimes is an organization near and dear to the hearts of many at Regional One Health. Our employees donated money for the cause, bought t-shirts in support of the walk, and showed up to walk with the Regional One Health team. All of these efforts lead to a donation of $20,000 from Regional One Health employees to the March for Babies!
Dr. Reginald Coopwood, President and CEO, served as the chairman for this year’s March for Babies. Fundraising totals are still being tallied by the March of Dimes, but Dr. Coopwood has been instrumental in helping the March of Dimes reach their event goal. Of the more than 350 March for Babies walks around the country, the Memphis walk ranks 37th in its fundraising efforts.
