Sira Mary Duson, MD, MBA, FACS is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Regional One Health. She earned her medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia and completed her vascular surgery fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. She completed her residency and internship in general surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Duson is a member of the Faculty of American College of Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, and Society of Black Vascular Surgeons.
She is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Annals of Vascular Surgery, and her research has been published in Journal of Vascular Surgery, Endovascular Today, Perspectives in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, and Vascular Dis Management. She is also the co-author of a book chapter in Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm: The Definitive Manual.
Her major areas of research interest include limb salvage, descending thoracic aortic disease, and abdominal aortic disease.
