Sushma Bellamkonda, MD

Sushma Bellamkonda, MD, is a neurologist at Regional One Health and an assistant professor in the department of neurology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Bellamkonda completed her internal medicine internship and neurology residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center and her neuro-oncology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

“I was raised with the philosophy that we are put here in this world to help one another,” Dr. Bellamkonda shared. “It is a pleasure to interact with my patients and do what I can to help them.”

Before moving to America, Dr. Bellamkonda began her training in India as a student at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences in Trichur, Kerala, India.

“I can say that despite the variety in the location, culture and socioeconomic standing of the patients I have seen, the problems patients have are often the same,” Dr. Bellamkonda said. “It reminds me that we are all human and suffer the same pain and are rewarded with the same smiles and joys.”
