Sara Soule, MD, FACS is a board certified trauma surgeon at Regional One Health’s Elvis Presley Trauma Center.

Dr. Soule earned her medical degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She completed her general surgery residency at University of Colorado and Denver Health, and her surgical critical care fellowship at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Dr. Soule has served in a number of leadership roles, including Associate Program Director for the general surgery residency program at University of Kentucky School of Medicine at Bowling Green where she helped to build this residency program and design the clinical curriculum for it. She was also the Trauma Medical Director at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, where she was a general and acute care surgeon.

Her research has been published in medical books and journals, and she has presented at numerous conferences. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association for Surgery in Trauma, Chest Wall Injury Society, and American Medical Association.

Dr. Soule has a passion for global health and providing care to the underprivileged. She is an active volunteer, having served on medical mission trips in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Mexico. She has been involved with humanitarian surgical skills workshops, and served as a health advisor to incarcerated minors in Los Angeles County Juvenile Halls.

She is fluent in English and Spanish and is learning Italian.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, practicing Vinyasa yoga, traveling, cycling, skiing, watching football, and cooking authentic Italian meals.
