Rose Townley Bakewell APRN-BC is a palliative care nurse practitioner with Regional One Health. After practicing in oncology for over a decade as an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner, she switched her focus to palliative care. She facilitates discussions about palliative care to provide symptom management and advanced communication for hospitalized patients and their families.

Rose earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Adult Nurse Practitioner degree at University of Nebraska Medical Center and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University. She has a wealth of experience in patient care, having started her nursing career in 1990 and worked in settings including hospice, oncology, primary care, and palliative care.

Her work is published in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, and she has given a number of invited lectures on physical and emotional wellness and on pancreatic, rectal, breast, prostate and colon cancers.

She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society, and Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.

Rose prides herself on providing supportive and compassionate care to patients and families who are dealing with a medical crisis.
