Kerri Lane Brackney, MD, FACOG
OB/GYN services at Regional One Health
Kerri Lane Brackney, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN at Regional One Health and an assistant professor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Brackney received her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She is a fellow of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
“I went into medicine because I love to learn, be challenged and grow, all within the context of relationships with my patients,” Dr. Brackney said. “I enjoy learning each patient’s unique story and applying the skills I’ve learned to their individual needs and desires.”
When providing care to her patients, Dr. Brackney believes in approaching each patient with the eyes, words and heart of Jesus.
“I seek to model my care for women and their babies in the way He did, with empathy and loving-kindness,” Dr. Brackney shared. “Because I view every patient as an individual created in the image of God, I highly value ethical care, respect for people and top-notch care.”
Dr. Brackney worked with the red light district in Mumbai, India, in 2014 and 2015, where she cared for victims of human trafficking. She also spent three years with Christ Community Health Services before transitioning into her current role at Regional One Health.
