Karl T. Weber, MD is a physician at Regional One Health and the Neuton Stern Professor & Director of Cardiology Training Program in the division of cardiovascular diseases at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Weber received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he also completed his internship. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL.
“As an academic physician, I enjoy the tripartite mission of service, teaching, and research,” Dr. Weber shared. “Everyone should have full access to healthcare.”
Dr. Weber’s research interests have focused on heart failure, its pathogenic origins, and pathophysiologic expressions. He is an avid writer with over 600 publications and serves on five international scientific advisory boards. “I am always eager to take the path less traveled,” Dr. Weber said. “I enjoy bridge building between the basic and clinical sciences and serving as a mentor to cardiology trainees.”
