Christopher Jackson, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician at Regional One Health. He received his degree from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and completed both his residency and internship at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. During his residency Dr. Jackson received the Dr. James R. Givens Outstanding Resident Award in Endocrinology.
Dr. Jackson’s favorite part of being a physician is the close relationships he is able to build with patients. “Being able to manage their complex medical issues and empathize with their daily circumstances is rewarding and humbling,” he said.
He operates under the theory that his patients and he are a team. Both patient and doctor focus on the goal of managing the patient’s acute and chronic problems, while more importantly improving their health. Dr. Jackson feels honored and fortunate to be in a position in which patients trust him with not only their biggest fears but their greatest successes.
With patients at the forefront of everything he does, Dr. Jackson lives by Sir William Osler’s philosophy, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
