Angela Hudson, MSN, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner at Regional One Health’s Diggs-Kraus Sickle Cell Center. Angela received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
“My favorite part of being a nurse practitioner is educating my patients,” Angela shared. It warms my heart to know that my patients have listened and understood after a recap moment.”
In her role as a nurse practitioner in Diggs-Kraus Sickle Cell Center, Angela manages problems that arise from patients experiencing sickle cell crisis, assess pain and the need for pain intervention, monitor labs, and evaluate the need for initiation of medications for iron chelation.
“Working in the Diggs-Kraus Sickle Cell Center has come full circle for me,” Angela said. “I did my thesis research in the unit I work in and I have gained immense knowledge under Dr. Graves.”
