Nicole Poston, MSN, APRN, FNP, RNFA is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse First Assistant in the Surgical Oncology Service at Regional One Health.
Nicole specializes in caring for patients with complex hepatopancreatobiliary, breast, melanoma and soft tissue cancers. She assists on laparoscopic, robotic and traditional surgeries, and provides multidisciplinary management for patients including surgical planning, postoperative planning and follow-up care, and surveillance.
Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis and her Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) at East Tennessee State University College of Nursing in Johnson City.
She then earned her Registered Nurse First Assistant degree at University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing in Memphis, and a Certificate in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment at City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California. She achieved board certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Nicole has been providing direct patient care since 2010. She has experience in areas including medical/surgical, nephrology, perioperative and surgical oncology. She is a member of the Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, and American Academy of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
Outside of work, Nicole is an active volunteer, having served organizations including Room in the Inn Homeless Shelter, Mid-South Food Bank and Tree of Hope.
