Miriam W. Tsao, MD is a board-certified surgical oncologist at Regional One Health. Dr. Tsao specializes in the surgical treatment of breast cancer.
Dr. Tsao earned her medical degree from Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where she also did her residency in general surgery.
She went on to complete her fellowship in surgical oncology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She also holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in biostatistics from University of Memphis. She is board certified in complex general surgical oncology and general surgery.
Dr. Tsao serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
She is a member of the Association for Academic Surgery, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, American College of Surgeons and Tennessee Medical Association. She has contributed several academic book chapters on the topic of anal cancer, and her research has been published in medical journals including Journal of Surgical Oncology, Breast and British Journal of Surgery.
