
Mauro Schenone, MD, FACOG is an OB/GYN at Regional One Health as well as an associate professor and director of maternal-fetal medicine and ultrasound in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Schenone received his medical degree from University of Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Dr. Schenone completed his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
“When I think in retrospect about why I became a physician, everything points towards the idea of making a positive impact in peoples’ lives,” Dr. Schenone said. “Bringing back the smiles in patients that are going through difficult moments gives meaning to what I do every day.”
Dr. Schenone is a reviewer for several journal publications such as Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Journal of Perinatology, and Advances in Medicine. Dr. Schenone’s work has been published in numerous academic journals and he is a member of nationally and internationally recognized societies.
