Kathy White, MSN, FNP-BC, WCC is a family nurse practitioner at Regional One Health’s South Third Primary Care. White received her master’s degree from Spalding University in Louisville. She is also an advanced practice registered nurse and wound care certified.
“I became a nurse practitioner to be a change agent in providing quality care,” White shared. “To embody mind, body, and spirit to those facing healthcare disparity based on race, culture, and socioeconomics.”
White has over three decades of healthcare experience with a varied background in orthopedics, labor and delivery, wound care, intensive care, and more. She is a previously held certified neonatal resuscitation program instructor and is a member of various societies such as The Tennessee Nurses Association, National Black Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau and The National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy.
“My favorite saying is ‘Never ask anyone to do things you are not willing to do yourself,’” White said. “My other favorites are ‘God is in control’ and ‘Today is another day to make things better.’”
