Jerry Jones, MD is an anesthesiologist at Regional One Health and an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Jones received his medical degree from UTHSC, completed his internship in internal medicine at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and his residency in anesthesiology at University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Dr. Jones completed a Master of Arts degree at University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
“I love it when I can unexpectedly exceed a patient’s or hospital staff’s expectations with exceptional acute pain control and with accelerating recovery,” Dr. Jones shared. “I do not care who I am taking care of in the bed right in front of me because I do what I would want someone else to do for my family or me.”
Dr. Jones’ experience in clinicals and teaching his students has been high point in his career. “My experience, clinical and teaching others, with optimizing acute pain management to benefit the patient and the faculty has been a highlight to me,” Dr. Jones said.
Dr. Jones’ work has been published in numerous academic journals and he has taught as a visiting professor in Tennessee, Kansas, and Georgia. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Memphis Medical Society, and International Anesthesia Research Society.
