Jeffery Warren, MD, is a family medicine physician at Regional One Health’s Primary Care Specialists. He earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree at Yale University. He is board certified in family and emergency medicine, and is the founder of Primary Care Specialists.
Dr. Warren started Primary Care Specialists in 1992. It was the fulfillment of a dream to pursue a career in family medicine since his youth growing up in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he said he idolized his family doctor.
“I always liked science,” he said about his early inspiration to pursue medicine. “My mother was a nurse. As an athlete I experienced a lot of care from my doctors growing up and saw this was a good way for me to use science to help people, too.”
Dr. Warren began his medical practice in New York at Queens Hospital Center and as a medical officer at New York City Department of Correction’s Rikers Island before relocating to Memphis.
Dr. Warren is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and serves on the University of Memphis Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board.
