Angela Nakahara, MD is a board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine physician at Regional One Health. She serves as the Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship Assistant Program Director and the Co-Director of the Complex Obstetric Surgery service.

Dr. Nakahara earned her medical degree at The University of Queensland Ochsner Clinical School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed an OBGYN residency at Ochsner Clinical Foundation in New Orleans and a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

Dr. Nakahara’s research has presented at conferences including Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her work has been published in journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Perinatology, and more.

She is a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, where she serves as part of the Patient Education Committee and was one of the class presidents for the class of 2025. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and served as the District VII Junior Fellow section Vice Chair and Chair for the Louisiana division during her residency.
