In March, it would have been impossible to imagine how our world would change in just half a year – yet that didn’t stop Regional One Health Foundation donors from stepping up to make an immediate and lasting impact on health care in our community right when it was needed most.

Today, our Health Care Heroes continue to stand strong in the fight against COVID-19, and we are grateful for the support that helped make that a reality.

We’re proud of our Health Care Heroes serving patients at Regional One Health, and grateful to our donors for their support.

We know the pandemic didn’t just impact our professional and personal lives – it impacted our donors as well. Your willingness to continue to support our team as they bring hope and healing to patients throughout the Mid-South has never been more humbling.

Here’s a look at what your generosity has made possible:

Donations to our COVID-19 Response Fund have helped secure personal protective equipment, respirators and other critical resources that employees need to directly treat patients.

At the same time, this fund is addressing other issues the pandemic has caused. By helping our frontline workers overcome disruptions in their own day-to-day lives, you are making it possible for them to care for patients who need their compassion and expertise.

Feeding the Frontlines is another way your gifts have provided courageous employees a boost during these difficult times. Donors have bought and delivered countless healthy meals to keep our COVID-19 Unit employees nourished as they work long hours caring for patients.

Donors have supported our COVID-19 team by providing resources, meals and words of encouragement and support.

By providing food for the men and women who have volunteered to provide critical care during the pandemic, you are not only keeping providers healthy and strong, you are boosting morale by letting them know their hard work is appreciated.

Our team’s spirits have also been lifted by the words of kindness that have poured in through our Spread the Love campaign. Community members of all ages have taken time out of their day to send messages of encouragement and gratitude to our frontline staff.

The past six months have been challenging for everyone, but they have only strengthened our commitment to Regional One Health’s mission of providing exceptional, compassionate care for all members of our community. We are fortunate to have so many generous donors who believe in and support this mission just as strongly as we do.

COVID-19 continues to impact our community and our health care system, but we are confident in our team’s willingness and ability to keep the Mid-South safe and healthy.

We continue to gratefully accept support for our COVID-19 Response Fund and the Feeding the Frontlines campaign at www.regionalonehealth.org/covidgive/, and we welcome Spread the Love messages via email at foundation@regionalonehealth.org.
