Regional One Health Employees Save Lives In More Ways Than One

BEING ON THE FRONT LINES, I SEE WHAT A DIFFERENCE WE MAKE IN THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS PATIENTS, AND I WANT TO DO ALL I CAN TO HELP.

In addition to caring for patients with their hands, Regional One Health employees also care for patients with their donations. The majority of employees give to Regional One Health Foundation on a regular basis because they see firsthand how donations are used to purchase equipment and training to help them save the lives of their patients day in and day out.

Small, consistent donations make a BIG difference. In 2015 alone, employees donated more than $155,000 for programs, training and equipment.

Denise Childs, radiology technician, has been supporting the life- saving work that takes place at Regional One Health throughout her 10-year career. “Working at Regional One Health gives me the opportunity to serve others unconditionally,” Denise commented. “Being on the front lines, I see what a difference we make in the lives of countless patients, and I want to do all I can to help.”

Denise finds many ways to help others. “I can have an impact simply by offering a hug or a smile to an elderly patient who might not have had any human contact all week,” she says. “I can also have an impact by giving on a regular basis to help provide my patients the highest possible care. You never know, someone in my own family could be the next one to come through our doors in desperate need of help.”
