MAKE THE GIFT OF LIFE

Your support of Regional One Health Foundation saves lives. Because of our donors’ generous contributions, our friends, family and neighbors across the Mid-South region and beyond, have access to world-class medical care. Funds raised by Regional One Health Foundation are directly invested back into the Regional One Health family of healthcare services; purchasing life-saving equipment and providing advanced training for front line staff.

Regional One Health Foundation provides grants to the healthcare system that directly impact patient care whether it’s life-saving care for a burn victim or for our tiniest newborns. Giving to Regional One Health Foundation is truly an investment in the future of healthcare in our community and beyond.

Ways To Give

Regional One Health Foundation’s committed donors are a big reason why Regional One Health has been able to provide life-saving care to patients for nearly 40 years. Your tax-deductible donations help fund programs that give patients access to the latest technology and care from our expert medical staff.

Double Your Donation

Did you know many employers match the charitable donations of their employees?

Matching gifts provide an easy way to potentially double, if not triple, your original donation! Many organizations supplement their employees’ contributions to non-profits. In fact, your company, a spouse’s company, the company whose board you serve on or even a company you retired from may match your gift.

If you are not sure if your organization has a matching gift program, search for your employer below. This tool will provide you a quick and easy way to access requirements, forms and step-by-step instructions for getting your gift matched.

Your gift could have twice, or even three times, the impact for patients who are depending on our life-saving services.

One Time & Recurring Donations

Whether you’d like to make a one-time lump sum contribution or give continually over a period of time, your generosity will fund the future of healthcare in our region and beyond. Through our online donation forms you may choose the contribution option that is best for you as well as the area your gift will support. If you would like to support the miracles that happen each day at Regional One Health without specifying a certain area of specialty, we will direct your gift toward the area of greatest need.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts can take many forms, but the simplest is to designate a fixed dollar amount in your will to bequeath to Regional One Health Foundation. This gift can provide positive tax savings to your estate, freeing you to make a more significant gift. Your attorney or tax advisor can recommend the best legal and financial strategy for this type of gift.

Employee Giving

The annual Employee Giving Campaign is an opportunity for Regional One Health employees to further demonstrate their support of the important work done throughout the Regional One Health system of healthcare services. All gifts, large or small, make a positive impact on the lives of the patients Regional One Health serves. Gifts can be made by payroll deduction or through a one-time donation by cash, check or credit card. If you are a Regional One Health employee and would like to contribute through payroll deductions, please contact us at (901) 545-6006.

Memorials & Honorariums

Gifts in honor or in memory of someone you care about is an impactful way to remember loved ones, celebrate a special occasion or express gratitude for a caregiver. When you make a tribute gift, the person who you designate will receive a personalized note card acknowledging your generosity, although the amount of your gift will not be shown. Your gift will help the patients who turn to Regional One Health for their healthcare needs.

Trauma Center Donor Wall of Honor

Every year, Elvis fans come to Memphis to participate in the annual celebration of his life and to tour the trauma center that bears his name, Elvis Presley Trauma Center at Regional Medical Center. In 1990, Regional One Health Foundation established a “Wall of Honor” in the Elvis Presley Trauma Center for donors who have cumulatively contributed $1,000 or more. Approximately 300 plaques hang there today, each dated and inscribed according to the donor’s wishes.

Campaign for Healthy Newborns

Babies can’t get far in their birthday suits. That’s why the Baby Clothes Closet at the Sheldon B. Korones Newborn Center at Regional Medical Center is so important for newborns that are ready to go home, but lack basic clothing and infant necessities. The Baby Clothes Closet is stocked with new infant and preemie items donated from individuals, corporations and local churches.

Elvis Presley License Plates

Elvis Presley fans have had a special relationship with Regional Medical Center, a part of Regional One Health, for many years. In 1983, then Shelby County Mayor Bill Morris dedicated the trauma center at Regional Medical Center, in honor of The King of Rock & Roll. At the dedication, Elvis fans collectively gave $50,000 to the trauma center, becoming the seed capital for our philanthropic organization, Regional One Health Foundation.

In addition to being the only level-one trauma center within a 150-mile radius of Memphis, the Elvis Presley Trauma Center is the only health care facility in the world to bear Elvis’s name.

In 2005, Regional One Health Foundation partnered with Elvis Presley Enterprises to offer the first authentic license plate bearing the image of Elvis Presley. Since then, Tennessee drivers purchasing the license plates have generated more than $128,000 for the Elvis Presley Trauma Center.

Elvis fans from across the globe continue to call and email Regional One Health Foundation to request the state license plate, which is available only to licensed Tennessee drivers. To meet this broader demand, The Foundation and Elvis Presley Enterprises developed and released the Elvis Presley souvenir license plate in 2010.

These specialty plates are priced at $19.95 plus shipping and handling and are available for anyone to purchase. The authentic Tennessee state issued license plates are available at your local county clerk’s office whenever you renew your automobile tag.

The money raised from the sale of both plates is used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for the trauma center and provide training for front line staff, all of which helps to save lives. In recent years, Regional One Health completed work on a new Trauma Training and On-Call Center funded in part with revenue from these license plates.

Help ensure Elvis’ memory lives on by purchasing your souvenir license plate by calling 901-545-6006 and ordering one or more today.
