Regional One Health Extended Care Hospital provides an ideal environment for patients with complex medical conditions. In addition to ventilator dependency, the extended care hospital treats a variety of patients that require longer lengths of stay (18 to 35 days) than in a traditional acute care hospital. We utilize an interdisciplinary team approach and evidence-based medical protocols to ensure that each patient reaches their maximum potential.
Our philosophy is collaboration, among each team member, the patient and their family. Care plans are individualized to the needs of the patient and their support network under our collaborative caregiving model.
Physician support is available 24 hours a day along with the ancillary services found at an acute care hospital, including laboratory, radiology, operating or procedure rooms, high observation units, special care units and telemetry units. Therapies include respiratory care, wound management, burn management and cardiac care.
The areas of expertise are:
- Pulmonary care
- Ventilator management
- Tracheotomy care
- Multiple trauma post-surgical care
- Complex burn post-surgical care
